Jennifer Aniston has clarified her reasons for liking a controversial tweet from Jamie Foxx.
The Ray actor, 55, who is currently recovering from a medical scare, shared a cryptic post on his Instagram page which seemed to contain antisemitic tropes.
He wrote on his Instagram Story and grid: ‘They killed this dude name Jesus… what do you think they’ll do to you?’
The actor has since deleted the post, but it was screenshotted and shared by multiple Jewish groups online, with some people pointing out that Friends star Aniston, 54, had ‘liked’ the post.
After receiving backlash, she has cleared the air on the matter and blasted those that suggested she supports ‘any form of antisemitism.’
Taking to her own Instagram Stories and sharing a post from A Wider Frame about Foxx, she said: ‘This really makes me sick. I did not ‘like’ this post on purpose or by accident.

‘And more importantly, I want to be clear to my friends and anyone hurt by this showing up in their fees – I do NOT support any form of antisemitism. I truly don’t tolerate HATE of any kind. Period.’
The Times of Israel explained that Foxx’s post can be seen to reference the ‘Jewish decide’, a belief that ‘Jews are collectively responsibly for the killing of Jesus.’
Foxx has not yet addressed the post or the backlash it has received.
The Oscar-winning actor is recovering after being rushed to hospital with a mystery illness in April and spent several weeks in hospital receiving treatment.
