Jamie Oliver’s series Great Cookbook Challenge has been axed after a single season.
Last year the celebrity chef fronted the seven-part series, which followed 18 chefs as they competed to win a book publishing deal and release their very own cookbooks.
With 25 cookbooks under his belt by the time the series hit screens in early 2022, Jamie, 47, mentored the contestants, with Dominique Woolf being named the eventual winner.
But it’s now reportedly faced the chopping block and has been cut by broadcaster Channel 4.
‘Bosses have decided to leave Great Cookbook Challenge at one series,’ a source said.
‘They’re proud of the show and will be continuing to work with Jamie on other shows currently in the pipeline,’ they added when speaking to The Sun.

During the series the participants pitched their book concepts and signature dishes before cooking their creations which were then sent to testers.
Dominique won with her Asian-inspired food recipes and her book was released last summer.
Ahead of the release of the show, Jamie shared that his first cookbook was made out of recipes written on the ‘back of fag packs and beer mats’ left in a bin bag.
After writing down recipes on the back of miscellaneous items which also included order checks, when it came for a cookbook to be released alongside his hit 1999 TV series The Naked Chef, Jamie was prepared.
After signing the initial book deal, he said he set about learning about the publishing industry – even living in the Penguin offices and personally dressing bookshop windows to promote his cookbooks.

While Jamie does have other cooking shows in the works, he did say this week he’d like to mix things up and host Blind Date.
‘I love a bit of love and there needs to be more in the world,’ he told The Sun.
