Jada Pinkett Smith has shared an update on the progress of her hair, after revealing her battle with alopecia.
The Scream 2 actress revealed that she had been living with the autoimmune condition in 2018.
Taking to Instagram, the 51-year-old shared two photos with fans, highlighting the growth between the images.
In the first, she could be seen posing with short hair, which was slightly longer and bleached blonde in the ‘present’ upload.
Alongside the post, she penned: ‘This here hair is act’n like it’s try’n a make a come back. Still have some trouble spots but – we’ll see [sic].’
Jada was previously praised for speaking out about the physical disorder – which caused her hair to fall out.

It is often associated with stress and anxiety and, while there is no cure, treatments are available to slow down the loss of hair.
The mom-of-two discussed the illness during an episode of her Red Table Talk series, alongside her daughter Willow Smith, and mother Adrienne Banfield-Norris.
Addressing questions over why she had been wearing a turban at the time, she said: ‘Well, I’ve been having issues with hair loss.
‘And I’ll tell you it was terrifying when it first started. I was in the shower one day and then just handfuls of hair, just in my hands, and I was like “oh my God am I going bald?”

‘It was one of those times in my life when I was literally shaking with fear.’
She continued: ‘That’s why I cut my hair — and why I continue to cut it. I just [thought], “Okay, I think we’re going to do another layer of cutting”.
‘My hair has been a big part of me. Taking care of my hair has been a beautiful ritual. And having the choice to have hair or not, and then one day to be like, “Oh, my God, I might not have the choice.”
‘People are out here with cancer, with sick children… I watch the higher power takes things every day and if the higher power wants to take my hair? That’s it? God, you want my hair? When I looked at it from that perspective it did settle me.’

Jada later opened up about struggling to hide her bald spots, vowing that she was ‘going to be friends’ with alopecia.
‘Now at this point, I can only laugh,’ she said in a video, before pointing at a spot. ‘Y’all know I’ve been struggling with alopecia and just all of a sudden one day, look at this line right here. Look at that.
‘So it just showed up like that and this is going to be a little bit more difficult for me to hide. So I thought I’d just share it so y’all are not asking any questions.
‘But you know mama’s going to put some rhinestones in there. I’m going to make me a little crown. That’s what mama’s going to do.’
