It can be tempting to splash out on a more expensive mascara in the hope of better results, but there are some budget-friendly ones out there that give the high-end brands a run for their money – with one impressing shoppers to no end.

The L’Oréal Paris Lash Paradise Waterproof Mascara has a host of glowing reviews on Amazon, where it’s currently on sale for £6.93 (was £12.99), as well as on LookFantastic here.

It is designed to create longer, thicker-looking lashes and, according to L’Oreal and several reviewers, is great for people with sensitive eyes.

It contains cornflower water to help soothe and rose and castor oil which aims to nourish lashes and ease application.

And as it’s waterproof, shouldn’t smudge as easily as regular mascaras.

And the reviews are absolutely glowing.

One reviewer on Amazon said they ‘love’ the Lash Paradise mascara adding: ‘It’s the first time in my life people actually complemented my lashes so big kudos for that, L’Oréal.’

Another said they ‘always come back to this’ mascara.
