Israeli strikes on Palestinian Jenin camp in West Bank
Under the cover of darkness, Israel has launched unprovoked attacks on Palestinians in Jenin camp in the West Bank.
Massive air strikes are underway on the Jenin camp in the north of the occupied West Bank. So far 8 innocent Palestinians have been killed and 27 injured by the air raids, with the number expected to rise as many are suspected to be buried under the rubble.
The Israeli army started with multiple drone strikes, and videos published on social media shows smoke rising from the residential block.
At least Eight Palestinians have been killed in the strikes and more than 20 others wounded in the ongoing raid, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said they were striking “terrorist infrastructure in the Jenin area.” However, Israel has a habit of identifying ordinary Palestinians as Terrorists.
“We will not stand by idle while terrorists continue to harm civilians using Jenin Camp as a hideout,” they said, adding that the camp was a “terrorist stronghold”.
In Jenin, the other news outlets suggest a Battalion of military militia have organized a resistance, which is not true. We have verified it with sources in Jordan and Palestine. The resistance is made up of untrained Palestinians who were preparing for work this morning, with little or no fighting experience from Palestine who are fighting air strikes with rocks and stones.
