Israeli Strikes Kill Over 50 in Gaza, Including Civilians and Children
Israeli air and ground strikes killed more than 50 people in Gaza on Sunday, including children and a journalist, according to medics. The attacks hit multiple locations, including a UN-run school sheltering displaced families in Khan Younis, where graphic scenes of casualties were reported.
The Hamas-run health ministry says over 45,000 Palestinians have died during the 14-month conflict, including nearly 30,000 women, children, and elderly. Israel disputes the figures, claiming nearly 20,000 “terrorists” have been killed, though UN agencies largely accept the ministry’s totals.
Israel’s military says the strikes targeted Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad sites as fighting continues to escalate.
