Is Ireland vs England on TV? Kick-off time, channel and how to watch Women’s Euro 2025 qualifier
England’s second 2025 Women’s European Championships qualifiers match kicks off tonight, with the Lionesses facing the Republic of Ireland at the famous Aviva stadium.
The Lionesses kicked off their defence of their Euros crown last Friday – being held to a 1-1 draw by Sweden in front of more than 60,000 at Wembley.
England have been drawn in the ‘group of death’ – featuring Sweden, France and Ireland. It’s by far the toughest group in the competition and only two teams automatically qualify.
England is ranked 2nd in the Fifa World Rankings, France is 3rd and Sweden is 6th. Ireland sits in 25th place – but they’re no easy team. France beat Ireland 1-0 in the opening match, but despite France dominating – in possession, shots and all key areas, Ireland managed to get keep the scoreline just 1-0.
Alessia Russo headed England’s only goal at Wembley but it was cancelled out by Fridolina Rolfo’s effort in the second half.
When is it?
Republic of Ireland vs England will kick off at 7.30 pm BST at the Aviva Stadium on Tuesday 9 April 2024.

Ireland v England Prediction
We expect England’s experience and depth on the bench will see them secure the win, though this Ireland team will be tough, and with a home crowd, England will be made to feel uncomfortable. But the Lionesses are good in a hostile environment and we’d expect a convincing win.
