Nigel Farage has come in third place in I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here! 2023.

Finalists Nigel Farage, Sam Thompson and Tony Bellew were the last in the running to take the title of King of the Jungle, following Josie Gibson’s shock elimination on Saturday night.

And on Sunday, it was revealed that the third place title went to Nigel.

Ant and Dec made the announcement on Sunday’s episode, with the second place and overall winner still to be announced.

The former Ukip leader then spoke to the comedy duo where they looked back at his time on the jungle, labeling it ‘a great big adventure.’

‘I haven’t done anything like this…. to be honest with you, I’ve loved it.’

He said he had finally decided to take part in the show as he ‘had the time’ – and wanted to go for it before he turned 60.

It’s been a dramatic season to put it mildly, with two contestants – Grace Dent and Jamie Lynn Spears – leaving early due to ‘medical reasons.’

We also had explosive arguments between Nella Rose and Fred Sirieix – and the First Dates star also clashes with This Morning’s Josie over cooking duties.

Also in the 2023 season and voted out were Frankie Dettori, Nick Pickard, Danielle Harold and Marvin Hughes.

Tony had expressed his bewilderment that he was in the final three, saying he ‘can’t put into words how grateful I am.’

Sam agreed: ‘I’m a finalist on I’m A Celeb. I just don’t understand it. I feel like a cockroach – you know when they just survive? I don’t know what to say. I’m so happy.’

And Brexiteer Nigel joked: ‘I’m now a remainer – a camp remainer, that is. I’m absolutely thrilled to be one of the last three.’

Sunday’s finale saw each of the trio tackle a Bushtucker trial, with Tony and Nigel forced to spend time with critters and crawlies, and Sam eating fish eyes, scorpions and grubs.

Made In Chelsea star Sam has been a big contender for winning I’m A Celeb, with bookies putting him far ahead and his own campmates declaring they wanted him to be the winner.

On her exit, EastEnders star Danielle told Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly Sam was ‘the most amazing guy, my best mate in there and we just had the absolute best time. We did not stop laughing the whole way.’

Tony has also been a major favourite with fans almost as soon as he set foot in the camp as a late arrival however, and landed in the bottom two just once.

And while former Ukip leader Nigel’s addition to the show caused major controversy with some boycotting the series, he had a dedicated fanbase keeping him in to the very end.
