Tiffany Haddish has reportedly pleaded not guilty after her recent DUI arrest.
The 43-year-old actress was arrested in LA last month on suspicion of driving under the influence.
She later told reporters: ‘I’m going to get some help so I can learn balance and boundaries.’
It’s now been claimed she pleaded not guilty to two counts brought by the LA County District Attorney’s Office, according to TMZ.
Haddish was arrested on November 24 by Beverly Hills police, with reports claiming she was slumped over in the front seat and had stopped the car in the middle of Beverly Drive.
It is thought the vehicle was still running at the time, but there were ‘no traffic collisions’.
Less than 24 hours after being detained, Haddish broke her silence on the incident during her stand-up show in Long Beach.
Performing on Thanksgiving, the comic replied to an audience member who asked ‘What happened last night?’, as per audio obtained by TMZ.
‘What happened last night?’, Haddish responded, before a long pause while the crowd laughed and applauded.
‘I don’t know, you tell me.’
Haddish then joked that her prayers for a man ‘in uniform’ were ‘answered.’
‘I prayed to God to send me a man with a job. A career. Preferably in a uniform. God answered my prayers,’ she said.
This marks the second time that the Haunted Mansion star has been in trouble with the law for falling asleep at the wheel.
In January last year, she was arrested for a DUI while in Georgia after police officers responded to a 911 call, and was later transported to Fayette County Jail ‘without incident’.
At the time, she spent a few hours in custody before paying $1,666 (£1,321) in bonds and being released, and pleaded not guilty during that case too.
