Hollyoaks star Jessamy Stoddart has teased a potential comeback to the screen after confirming the end of her maternity leave.
The 30-year-old actress – who plays Liberty Savage in Hollyoaks – announced at the beginning of the year that she and husband Ryan O’Gorman have become parents for the first time.
Sharing a sweet photo of their baby girl – who is named Joni – the little one looked as cute as can be while sleeping soundly on a fur blanket, wearing a beige-coloured outfit and already boasting an impressive head of hair.
Jessamy wrote in her caption: ‘Our little girl ✨ Joni Drew O’Gorman 04/01/2023 8lb4.’
In her latest snap, which showed Joni with a black and white filter, Jessamy revealed that her maternity leave was over.
She penned: ‘And just like that, it’s my last day of maternity leave… I’m not crying, you are 😭😭😭
‘The past 10 months have been everything I’ve dreamed of and more. Here’s to the next chapter kiddo, forever proud of you.’
Fellow co-stars shared their love to the soap star, with Anna Passey (Sienna Blake) replying: ‘This picture! Standing lady!! Selfishly we are excited to have you back.’
West End star Carrie Hope Fletcher added: ‘You got this, Mumma!’
This comes after Jessamy previously took to social media to discuss her pregnancy journey, admitting that it had been far from straightforward for the loved-up couple.
The actress also revealed her baby was originally due to arrive in December
Alongside some photos of her growing baby bump, Jessamy said on Instagram: ‘Baby O’G, you are so loved already.

Liberty’s exit is thought to be a temporary one, with the departure storyline being written in to facilitate actress Jessamy Stoddart’s maternity leave.
Jessamy has played Liberty on Hollyoaks for four years. Her last on-screen appearance featured some high-octane scenes, as Lib’s life was put in huge danger.
Villainous gangster Norma Crow (Glynis Barber) grew tired of Warren Fox’s (Jamie Lomas) constant stalling in his plot to kill Sienna Blake (Anna Passey), and thus took matters into her own hands and put a hit on Sienna.
The embalmer, who was tasked with carrying out the crime, ultimately mistakes Sienna for Liberty, who let him into the flat, unaware of the danger she faced.
Liberty, however, accidentally poisons the embalmer with a cup of tea.
