Rayne Royce (Jemma Donovan) told Romeo Nightingale (Owen Warner) that she found a lump in Hollyoaks after becoming consumed with jealousy over his closeness with Peri Lomax (Ruby O’Donnell).
The influencer, as viewers know, is keen to be the centre of Romeo’s attention at all times and has struggled to keep her cool when her beau is in the company of other people, namely Peri.
Romeo and Peri have bonded over their shared loved for Juliet (Niamh Blackshaw), who tragically died earlier this year following a battle with Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
Rayne has become jealous over the pair’s closeness, believing that it should be her helping Romeo through his tough time, despite the fact that she didn’t know Juliet all that well.
Monday’s (July 3) first look offering of the Channel 4 soap saw her by Romeo’s side at all times, making inappropriate tribute posts to Juliet, all the while making jibes at Peri over the kiss she shared with Romeo.
Romeo remained oblivious to his girlfriend’s manipulative ways, that is until he got wind of her tribute posts online, asking her to delete them.

Rayne agreed to do so, but then suggested live-streaming the eulogy, which left Romeo appalled, as he ordered her to stay away from the funeral altogether!
Peri, meanwhile, struggled to get her head around the fact that James (Gregory Finnegan) had disrespected Juliet’s wishes on what the funeral should be like, but Romeo was on hand to offer support, as he put his jacket over her shoulders, which Rayne witnessed from afar.

The influencer subsequently called Romeo, urging him to come see her at once, telling him that she’s ‘found a lump’, much to his horror.
Is Rayne being completely honest?
We know that she’s got dark secrets in her past about what really happened with her ex Brent, with the show’s Summer Trailer, which dropped today, confirming another twist for her in upcoming scenes, as she seemingly lies about sleeping with Prince McQueen (Malique Thompson-Dwyer) in a bid to drive a wedge between he and best friend Romeo.
