Cindy Cunningham (Stephanie Waring) could be facing a hefty prison sentence in Hollyoaks after her plans to rob the local bank were snatched by a mysterious gloved-hand resident.

The entrepreneur, as viewers know, is keen to raise the funds to rebuild the market after Norma Crow (Glynis Barber) drove her car through it earlier this year, destroying the structure of the complex.

Tom (Ellis Hollins) was sure the insurance would cover the costs of the repair, but Cindy was forced to come clean, revealing that she hasn’t actually been paying for insurance, meaning they’d need to look elsewhere to get the money to rebuild.

Cindy subsequently exhausted every possibility in a bid to find the cash, before resolving to resort to crime, enlisting the help of local gangster and all-round icon Grace Black (Tamara Wall) in her plot.

Grace took the reins of the plan, which involves the trio robbing Alex’s (Liz Fletcher) bank, instructing both Cindy and Zara Morgan (Kelly Condron) to take part in some fitness classes in a bid to ensure they’re up for the challenge of making a run for it when the big job arrives.

Cindy, however, left her notepad – complete with detailed files, including a layout of the bank – on the floor outside The Dog, with Pearl Anderson (Dawn Hope) subsequently picking it up, assuming it belonged to Damon Kinsella (Jacob Roberts), who was carrying a pile of files at the time.

Cindy thought she’d managed to retrieve all of her info on the bank robbery, unaware that there are pages from her folder missing (Picture: Lime Pictures)

Horrified at the prospect of losing her book, which has enough evidence to land her in jail, Cindy retraced her steps, with Grace later discovering that Pearl had given the folder to Damon.

Cindy successfully retrieved the file from Damon before he’d managed to sneak a peek at what was inside, with the legend pleased to have it back in her possession – believing that she was out of the woods.

The missing pages were eyed up by an unknown resident – but who is it? (Picture: Lime Pictures)

Little did she know, however, that certain pages of the book, including a map of the inside of the bank, plus photos of the building itself, had managed to make their way to The Dog patio, where an unknown resident found them very interesting indeed.

The question is: just who is it that has their hands on Cindy’s incriminating pages? What’s more, will this land her in prison?

Hollyoaks continues Friday May 5 at 7pm on E4 or stream first from midnight on All4.
