Dilllon reaches out to Lucas once more, determined to support him (Picture: Lime Pictures)
Lucas Hay (Oscar Curtis) receives support from kind Dillon Ray (Nathaniel Dass) in Hollyoaks later this month after he’s involved in some sort of altercation.
The teen has proven incredibly difficult in recent weeks, with dad Ste (Kieron Richardson) left seriously concerned about his behaviour.
James Nightingale (Gregory Finnegan) hasn’t helped matters, with his approach to parenting differing greatly from Ste’s, resulting in conflict aplenty.
The lawyer believed he’d made a breakthrough with Lucas after a conversation about his abusive father Mac, but when Lucas failed to understand the gravity of the situation, James resorted to traumatising the teen by locking him in a shed overnight.
Dillon, meanwhile, has been nothing but supportive towards confused and struggling Lucas, but things took quite a turn when Lucas slammed a locker door onto Dillon’s hand.
The conflict continues in the subsequent week, with Lucas once again finding himself in James’ bad books and is grounded as a result, with he and James later facing off again, which leads to the teen storming out.

He crosses paths with Dillon and apologises for his actions during the previous week, but things take another turn when Scott Drinkwell (Ross Adams) catches him graffitiing the youth club.
Lucas pleads with Scott not to tell his dad the truth, with Scott urging him to clean the graffiti off the wall. When doing so, Lucas begins to flirt with Maxine Minniver (Nikki Sanderson) and gets carried away, so much so that Scott threatens to get James involved.
Here’s how to watch Hollyoaks in 2023
Hollyoaks will stream first (Picture: Lime Pictures)
Hollyoaks has a new schedule to better reflect viewing habits of TV audiences today. The show will no longer air on Channel 4. Instead, viewers can get their daily fix on the station’s online platform, formerly known as 4OD and All4, weeknights at 7:30pm on Channel 4 streaming.
If streaming isn’t your thing or maybe you simply prefer to watch on TV then you can catch the show as usual weeknights at 7pm on E4.
Horrified by such a thought, Lucas retaliates by smashing a window of the youth club!
What happens next remains to be seen but there’s violence on the cards, with Christmas morning seeing Lucas sporting a bruise on his head, much to the horror of sister Leah Barnes (Ela-May Demircan), who relays her discovery to Ste, claiming that Lucas has been fighting again.

Having no desire to be around his family, Lucas hightails it out of there and once again bumps into Dillon, who tries to get him to open up about what’s on his mind.
Before Lucas can do so, however, he throws up from the booze that they’ve been sharing.
Ste, meanwhile, tries to comfort James, believing him to be struggling with the fact its his first Christmas without Juliet (Niamh Blackshaw) but just what is really going on?
One to watch: Thursday December 21 from 7:30pm on Channel 4 streaming or watch live Friday December 22 at 7pm on E4.
