Holly Willoughby might have missed out on a nomination at the National Television Awards (NTAs) and a win for This Morning, but it appears she has exciting plans on the horizon.
On Tuesday evening, the TV star kept on smiling while sitting next to Alison Hammond despite the ITV programme facing boos from the audience at London’s O2 arena.
The 42-year-old recently returned to This Morning after her summer break, embarking on a new chapter after her former co-host Philip Schofield’s exit earlier this year.
In the latest news about her career, it’s been claimed that Holly may have some more primetime opportunities coming her way in the near future.
It’s been claimed that ITV is keen to ‘bulk up her roster’ to add to her This Morning and Dancing On Ice stints, with her team reportedly having a ‘number of conversations’ on the topic, including some concerning primetime shows.
‘Holly loves This Morning, sees her future very much on the sofa and is not going anywhere,’ a source told The Mirror.

‘But she is always keen to listen about any new ideas, and opportunities, particularly in primetime, to co-exist along her daytime role.’
The report also claimed that the BBC is hoping to work with Holly again in future, after she worked with the broadcaster on productions including CBBC at the Fame Academy and Take Off with Bradley & Holly.
While at the NTAs this week, Holly appeared to take a swipe at her former coworker Phillip as she discussed the ‘difficult’ year that she’d had.
Speaking to The Sun about how she’d coped over the past 12 months, she said: ‘If I am really honest, it has been up and down.

‘It has been a difficult year for everybody but what’s lovely is you find that people rally around you and the goodwill is there.
‘People want things to move on. It feels different.’
Holly wasn’t included in the shortlist for the category of best TV presenter at the NTAs, with Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly going home with the prize once again, despite many hoping Alison would finally be the one to break their two-decade streak.
Metro.co.uk has contacted representatives for Holly, ITV and the BBC for comment.
This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV.
