Holly Willoughby has returned to social media after three months.

The former This Morning presenter, 42, has teased a return to the 2024 series of Dancing On Ice, which she was confirmed to be hosting alongside Stephen Mulhern as the new series launches on ITV this Sunday.

‘And so it begins…’ she wrote to her 8.5million followers.

Fans and friends alike flocked to the comments to send their love and support including Ashley James and Love Island’s Olivia Attwood.

‘We’ve missed you Holly, so happy that we are seeing you on our screens again x,’ follower @Luscious_Lakeram wrote.

@Jamettunilla added: ‘Looking forward to seeing you. I do hope you are well. You have been missed.’

Prior to an image of the show’s script, Holly had posted back in October, announcing her departure from This Morning, which came just weeks after Phillip Schofield stepped down following his admission of an ‘unwise but not illegal’ affair.

She said at the time: ‘I have let ITV know today that after 14 years, I will not be returning to This Morning.

‘To everyone who has ever worked on the show over the years, thank you so so much. This is such a difficult goodbye, you are incredible and I forever will be proud of what we’ve done together. Thank you to everyone at ITV for being supportive. To every guest who has sat on our sofa, thank you.

‘Most of all, thank you to the wonderful viewers. You’ve been so loyal, so supportive and the very best company every day.

‘Richard and Judy said “we only look after this show, it will always belong to the viewers”. It’s been an honour to just be part of its story and I know this story has many chapters left to go. Sadly, however, I now feel I have to make this decision for me and my family.

‘I will miss you all so much. Holly.’

Holly joined the daytime programme in 2009 and hosted alongside Schofield, 61, until May.

A new This Morning host has yet to be confirmed, though the likes of Rylan Clark and Alison Hammond have been stepping in.

Holly is now making a return to ITV with the new series of Dancing On Ice, after weeks of speculation over who would be hosting.

New images recently showed Holly posing alongside Stephen for the first time in the ITV competition after keeping a low profile for weeks.

Joining them will be a stellar cast of celebs taking to the ice, including Ryan Thomas, Adele Roberts, Greg Rutherford, and Amber Davies, alongside judging panel Jane Torvill and Christopher Dean, as well as Ashley Banjo and Oti Mabuse.

    More to come…
Dancing On Ice 2024 launches on Sunday, January 14 at 6.30pm on ITV and ITVX.
