Harvey Elliott’s emotional message as injured Liverpool star prepares for surgery
The Daily Mirror says Liverpool midfielder Harvey Elliott admitted he is ‘absolutely devastated’ by his injury at Leeds but he has been ‘totally overwhelmed’ by the messages of support from Reds fans.
The teenager appeared to suffer a serious injury in his side’s three-goal victory at Elland Road on Sunday when he went down awkwardly under a challenge from Pascal Struijk.
The 18-year-old will undergo surgery in the coming days after dislocating his left ankle and is now expected to be on the sidelines for a significant period of time.
