Ahead of performing at Silverstone today, Tom Grennan has shared details of his own, erm, unfortunate experiences with cars.
The pop star will close a weekend full of racing and music, with performances from Jess Glynne, Calvin Harris, Black Eyed Peas, and more.
Tom, 28, is a self-confessed Formula 1 fan, describing it as an ‘honour’ to be bringing his music to ‘the UK’s home of motorsport’ as the ‘best drivers in the world’ come to town.
And on the topic of the best drivers in town, well, we probably won’t be seeing a career change from Tom anytime soon.
Speaking to Metro.co.uk, the Little Bit Of Love hitmaker joked that he’ll be leaving the F1 to the professionals after a mishap with an expensive set of wheels.
‘I was secretly hoping some of them might let me have a spin but considering I managed to crash my beloved G-Wagon into a sewage pipe in a car park right after I bought it, I don’t think I’ll be trusted out on the track anytime soon!’, he joked.

On performing at the event, the Bedford-born star added: ‘I’m buzzing to be closing this year’s British Grand Prix on the main stage at Silverstone!
‘The atmosphere, the fans, the stage, everything is going to make it a weekend to remember – another massive highlight in what’s been an incredible year so far.’
And while he’s no Max Verstappen, it’s equally as important for Tom to keep fit while on the road.
‘I’m always focused on my fitness and health. I try to approach my music and performing like an athlete and I’m totally obsessed with doing ice baths,’ he shared.

‘I find it really interesting seeing what these drivers put their bodies through in preparation for race weekends and saw that Lewis Hamilton likes an ice bath too!’
Tom also quipped that the racer might let him borrow his before he takes to the stage – we want an Instagram vid if so, Tom!
The How Does It Feel vocalist takes to the stage on Sunday evening to round off four gigantic nights of live entertainment.
Thursday brought the best of British music with Hold My Hand singer Jess, Scottish DJ Calvin, as well as Cat Burns, who all performed show-stopping sets at the historic launch party.

Friday was all gas with festival powerhouse Jax Jones playing a monumental show.
This was followed by legends Black Eyed Peas setting Saturday alight for those in attendance – we’ve Gotta Feeling everyone had a good, good night, right?
The new-look music offering cements Silverstone as a summer highlight on both the British sports and music calendar.
