A 13-year-old girl from Barnsley who vanished after attending a house party in south London has been found safe and well, police have said.

Carmelle Hepi was reported missing by worried relatives early on Sunday morning.

Three men, all aged in their 20s, were arrested on suspicion of kidnap on Tuesday after detectives launched an urgent investigation.

One remains in custody, while the other three have been freed on bail pending further inquiries.

In an update, Lambeth borough police tweeted: ‘We’re delighted to say that 13-year-old Carmelle Hepi has been found safe and well.

‘This was a complex and fast-paced inquiry by specialist detectives. We would like to thank everyone who supported our appeals.’
