German minister filmed laughing during speech to flood victims
The Metro says: A senior German minister has apologised after being filmed laughing during a speech in a town devastated by flooding.
Armin Laschet, 60, was caught joking in the background as Germany’s President, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, delivered a statement in Erftstadt.
At least 180 people have now died after ‘catastrophic’ floods ravaged Germany and Belgium, with around 1,300 missing.
