The power of hair and costume never fails to impress us.
An actress best-known for her stellar work on Game of Thrones is currently in the midst of filming a new ITV drama, which has seen her completely transform with the help of a bouffant, 1980s-inspired wig.
With retro spectacles, a blouse buckled up to her neck and a navy jacket, she looks worlds apart from the character she played in the globally-beloved fantasy series.
You might have guessed it, but it’s… Sophie Turner, who of course gained worldwide fame as Sansa Stark, the eldest daughter of Ned and Catelyn Stark who would go on to become Queen in the North.
Sophie, 27, is set to appear in ITVX series Joan as the titular character Joan Hannington, a real-life, notorious jewellery thief and a criminal mastermind in the 1980s.
The X-Men star was pictured in Birmingham filming a scene where Joan visits a jewellery shop in London, with the character possibly assessing the store for a masterfully-planned heist.

Sophie previously showed off a radically different hairstyle in a first look at her character, debuting a sleek blonde bob.
In real life, Joan was referred to as ‘the Godmother’ due to her influence on Britain’s criminal underworld.
The ITV series is set to consist of six episodes, opening with Joan ‘trapped in a disastrous marriage with a violent criminal named Gary’ while in her twenties.
When Gary goes on the run, Joan takes her six-year-old daughter Kelly and embarks on creating a new life for them with new identities, before subsequently becoming a jewel thief.

ITV states: ‘Through her sharp intelligence, charm, and talent for impersonation and performance, we follow the twists and turns in Joan’s life, the ups and downs, the heartache and the joy that makes this story so compelling to follow.’
When her casting as Joan was first announced, Sophie said: ‘I’m so excited to be bringing Joan Hannington’s fascinating life story to screen in Joan.
‘She is one of the most notorious figures in the criminal underworld of London, earning her the nickname “The Godmother.” A woman who goes between her thriving and daring career as a jewel thief, all whilst trying to get her daughter back from social services, we see a mother in despair swept up in the exhilarating world of crime.’
The latest look at Sophie’s transformative costume comes days after fellow Game of Thrones star Jack Gleeson appeared barely recognisable in his latest role in the BBC’s reboot of The Famous Five.
Joan will air on ITVX.
