Gabriel Agbonlahor has slammed Manchester United for their transfer interest in Chelsea’s Marc Cucurella and Tottenham’s Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.
United are thought to be on the verge of signing Cucurella on loan from Chelsea to provide cover for injured left-back Luke Shaw.
Cucurella moved to west London in a £62m deal from Brighton last summer but the Spaniard have endured a tough start to life at Stamford Bridge.
The 25-year-old has been an unused substitute in all three of Chelsea’s Premier League games so far this season and now could be on his way to Old Trafford.
Meanwhile, United have made ‘initial’ contact with Tottenham over the signing of midfielder Hojbjerg.
The 28-year-old Denmark international joined Tottenham in a £15m deal from Southampton three years ago, when Jose Mourinho was manager of Spurs.
The north Londoners are open to selling Hojbjerg before the summer transfer window closes after he snubbed Atletico Madrid and an offer from Saudi Arabia.
Hojbjerg has come off the bench in two of Tottenham’s three Premier League games so far this season, with head coach Ange Postecoglou opting to start Yves Bissouma and Pape Sarr ahead of him.
Agbonlahor, quizzed about United’s transfer interest in Cucurella and Hojbjerg, told talkSPORT: ‘Erik ten Hag might be about to get Cucurella, but the Cucurella I saw last season wasn’t good enough.
‘On the ball he was erratic, he wasn’t making the right decisions and he was giving the ball away.

‘His positioning wasn’t great. Maybe he deserves a second chance at Manchester United.
‘I just don’t see Manchester United as being that team that are going for players Chelsea don’t want and players that Tottenham don’t wan’t.
‘When you think of Manchester United, you think they should be going after the best players.’
