Another arrest has been made in the investigation over Olivia Pratt-Korbel’s shocking death.

The nine-year-old was fatally shot in the chest when she was caught in the crossfire of a suspected gang-related hit attempt.

She was struck by a bullet when convicted burglar Joseph Nee forced his way into her Liverpool home on August 22.

He was being pursued by armed men when he barged into the property.

The girl’s mother was also injured in the attack as she tried to fend off the intruder but recovered from her injuries.

Despite several arrests, no one has been brought to justice for the girl’s death.

Merseyside Police said a man was arrested today on suspicion of assisting an offender.

The 34-year-old, of West Derby, is due to appear in court next year.

Paul Russell, 40, also of West Derby, has been charged with assisting an offender.

Others arrested have been released on police bail pending further inquiries.
