Frankie Boyle laid into Matt Hancock in a savage way on tonight’s episode of The Last Leg.
The 50-year-old Scot has never been shy when it comes to ripping into the most controversial political figures of the day, and ex-Health Secretary Matt Hancock is – unsurprisingly – no exception.
This week, regular presenters of the comedy panel show – Adam Hills, Josh Widdicombe and Alex Brooker – were joined by Frankie, Josh Pugh and AJ Odudu to look back over what has been a pretty eventful week of news.
In it, we’ve seen Matt Hancock’s, er, WhatsApp pandemic diary as journalist Isabel Oakeshott leaked his private messages to The Daily Telegraph.
What ensued was a string of revelations, which didn’t exactly shine the pandemic poster boy in the best light.
Hancock later said the messages were a ‘massive betrayal of trust’ from Oakeshott, who he drafted in to ghostwrite his book, Pandemic Diaries.

But Frankie has now weighed in on discussions, with his own very Frankie Boyle view of the politician.
While chatting about the disgraced MP, the comedian declared: ‘Even his hairline is trying to disown him.’
Ouch.
But that wasn’t it, oh no – in true Frankie fashion he had another line or two up his sleeve.
He wondered, dripping with sarcasm, why Hancock chose to lie in the ground ‘surrounded by worms’ on national TV in a bid to make the country forget he’d ‘killed their granny’.

We don’t know whether to laugh or cry – just like when Hancock thought it would be appropriate to make an appearance on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here while sitting as a, you know, real life MP.
But Frankie’s quips weren’t reserved for super-snogger Hancock, as he also commented that Labour leader Keir Starmer looks like ‘the picture in the frame when you buy it’.
He also said the Prime Minister Rishi Sunak – who is 5 foot 7 – was ‘too wee’ to be able to achieve anything in office, as he imagined the No. 10 occupant being scared at night in case he was ‘taken by an owl’.
We can’t un-see any of this now, cheers Frankie.

Following this week’s leaked WhatsApp messages, Oakeshott called Matt’s no public interest defense ‘ridiculous’.
Speaking to TalkTV, she said: ‘What a ridiculous defense. For someone who’s as intelligent as Matt Hancock to issue a statement saying there is no public interest in these revelations is patently absurd. And he knows that very well.’
The Last Leg airs Fridays at 10pm on Channel 4.
