A new Fortnite leak has hinted at yet another Marvel crossover arriving in the battle royale, as soon as Chapter 4 Season 3 kicks off.
While there’s still plenty of content to explore in Fortnite’s current season, Chapter 4 Season 3 is just around the corner, likely arriving sometime in June.
At the moment, there’s another Star Wars special taking place, in celebration of May 4th, adding fan favourite characters from the prequels, like Darth Maul, to the game.
However, new information has suggested that a crossover with another big franchise is set to hit the game right as the new season starts, and it’s all about a familiar web-slinger.
According to well-known Fortnite leaker HYPEX, new Spider-Man-themed items and skins have been found in the game’s files.
Among the items discovered are a mythical weapon called the WebSlinger, two skins with the codenames Hero & Menace Universal, a pair of pickaxes and back blings, as well as an emote.
There is no confirmation that the items are related to Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, but it would be reasonable to assume so given that the movie is coming out on June 2.
Speculations among players suggest that the Hero skin might represent Miles Morales, whereas the Menace skin could potentially resemble Spider-Man 2099.
Despite being a hero in the comics, the trailers and previews for the upcoming movie depict Spider-Man 2099 in conflict with Miles.
The newly discovered Mythic weapon is named Fearless Flight and seems to be a pair of Spider-Man gloves.
It’s been reported that the Fearless Flight item will be available for purchase from an NPC for 600 gold, but its functionality remains unknown.
While Spider-Gwen and the Prowler have made appearances in Fortnite as skins, Miles has been noticeably absent from the game.

Across the Spider-Verse is the follow-up to the 2018 hit Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, which follows the story of Miles Morales and his journey to becoming Spider-Man.
The upcoming film will focus more on his encounters with other versions of the web-slinging hero from alternate universes.
While the exact release date of the new Spider-Man-inspired Fortnite items remains unclear, the movie’s release date gives a very obvious clue.
