Formula One to hold night race on Las Vegas strip next year in ‘perfect marriage of speed and glamour’
Sky News says Formula One will hold a night race on the renowned Las Vegas strip next year, the sport’s organisers have announced.
A 3.8-mile 50-lap track will weave past world-famous landmarks, casinos, and hotels – including Caesars Palace, the Bellagio fountains, and the Eiffel tower.
With three main straights and 14 corners, top speeds are estimated at 212 mph.
It is anticipated the race will be staged in the second half of November, possibly to coincide with Thanksgiving weekend in America.
