The US front pages feature several domestic political stories.
Kamala Harris and running mate Time Walz “kick off southeast Georgia swing,” highlights the “battleground state’s importance” in the presidential race, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution says on Thursday’s front page. The Boston Globe makes clear Georgia’s “Black voters not a sure thing for Harris,” and even if Harris can win the state, USA Today says, “Georgia election changes ‘a mess'” that may “alter certification” of the winner.
The Washington Post says Trump and Harris “take diverging paths on police accountability,” with Trump “vowing to end the Biden administration’s wide-reaching efforts to curb abusive policing” if he wins.
‘FBI investigation into Trump shooter’The Journal-Constitution leads on the latest from the FBI investigation into the Trump assassination attempt. The paper says they found that “Trump shooter saw outdoor rally as well-planned target of opportunity.” The New York Post says “the FBI says it STILL doesn’t know Trump shooter’s motive.”
