
Fed slashes growth forecast as Trump tariffs cast shadow over US economy
- The US Federal Reserve has slashed its growth forecast for the world’s largest economy, as it warned of “uncertainty” fuelled by Donald Trump’s trade war. It marked down the outlook for economic growth for this year from 2.1pc to 1.7pc, with slightly higher unemployment by the end of this year.
