Zoe Ball and Fatboy Slim shared a bit of an awkward moment on Radio 2 this morning when Zoe neglected to mention their 17-year marriage.
The British musician and DJ, 59, whose real name is Norman Cook, stopped by Zoe’s morning show on the BBC station to chat about 2023’s Glastonbury festival.
But when Zoe introduced him, she first forgot the name ‘Fatboy Slim’ and was then called out by him for not mentioning that he’s her ex-husband.
When introducing him, Zoe first said: ‘I now welcome to the show somebody you may know from The Housemartins, Pizzaman, erm… Beats International?’
She then broke into a fit of laughter live on air before finally addressing Norman by admitting her faux-pas: ‘I forgot what you were called then! Sorry!’
Norman then shot back by adding, ‘And such things as our marriage!’ – a line Zoe then repeated before eventually introducing him as Fatboy Slim.

After a few more jokes back and forth between the two, she admitted that her listeners are already fully aware that she can be ‘quite unprofessional at times’.
Zoe then revealed that the interview was the first time the pair had ‘had a natter in front of a microphone’ since their separation and eventual divorce in 2016.
The couple married in 1999 during the height of their respective careers, with Norman achieving a run of top five singles, including number one Praise You.

At the time their relationship began, Zoe was presenting Top of the Pops and, in 1998, became the first woman to host the Radio 1 breakfast show on her own.
To mark the occasion of their reunion, the Right Here Right Now hitmaker listened to a clip of he and Zoe’s first interaction on live radio, back in the 1990s.
During their 17 years as a married couple, they had two children – son Woody, 22, and daughter Nelly, 13 – before announcing their split ‘with great sadness’.
In recent months, popstar Rita Ora remixed Norman’s number one hit Praise You for a new song of her own, Praising You, which got to number 13 on the UK Download Chart.
