Yes – somehow this legend is 90 years old (Picture: Chelsea Lauren/Shutterstock)
There were plenty of standout looks at last night’s Emmy Awards, from Suki Waterhouse’s incredible cut-out gown showcasing her baby bump to a TV star dressed as a ‘hell goblin’.
However, one of the absolute, undisputed, iconic stars of the night was Dame Joan Collins who stunned fans with her ageless appearance at the age of 90 years old.
Yes, you read that right. Dame Joan is 90. Nine zero. And soon to be turning 91 in May this year.
It’s not hard to understand why that fact is hard to believe after witnessing her latest public appearance at the Emmys, when she presented alongside Empire legend Taraji P Henson.
The pair joined forces to announce the winner for outstanding limited or anthology series, which went to Ali Wong and Steven Yeun’s Netflix hit Beef.
People watching were staggered to discover or be reminded of Dame Joan’s age, as she oozed elegance wearing a bedazzled, caped Jenny Packham gown, with chandelier-esque drop earrings and her hair in her signature bouffant style.

‘Dame Joan Collins is 90 years old and still poppin’!’ X user @corpus1 tweeted.
‘I would like everyone to know that Joan Collins is literally 90 years old. That’s a diva,’ added @finalgirlbianca.
Several people expressed confusion over how the Dynasty star could possibly be in her nineties, with a fan called Tyler adding: ‘I don’t understand how Joan Collins is 90 years old. Queen.’
Taraji, 53, honoured her role in The Color Purple with a stunning royal purple number by Versace, writing on Instagram how ‘excited’ she was to be presenting an award.
She expressed her gratitude on her Story to the fashion label and to Donatella Versace for creating the mesmerising custom dress, which featured a thigh split and a cut-out design on the bust.
A number of people watching the Emmys expressed how perfect the team-up was of Taraji with Dame Joan, given they both exude regal diva energy.
