People watching ITV’s singing competition Starstruck on Saturday night had to do a double take when they thought that they spotted Rob Beckett on stage.
We’re sorry to break it to you that it wasn’t the comedian performing an 80s rock classic… but even he was so convinced by the doppelgänger that he joked that he questioned if he’d forgotten taking part.
During tonight’s episode, budding singers impersonated various music legends, including Diana Ross, Ed Sheeran and Judy Garland.
The first team of the night, who delivered passionate impressions of Jon Bon Jovi, featured a 37-year-old motorcycle instructor called Lee.
Lee donned a retro wig, bandana and leather jacket for his performance, singing his heart out as judges Adam Lambert, Beverley Knight, Shania Twain and Jason Manford watched on in awe.
However, numerous fans couldn’t help but say the same thing – that Lee was the spitting image of Rob.
‘Glad to see the rest of Twitter also thought @robbeckettcomic was suddenyl doing Jon Bon Jovi on #Starstruck,’ one person remarked on Twitter.
‘@robbeckettcomic great cameo on #Starstruck,’ another quipped, while someone else wrote: ‘Starstruck! Jon Bon Jovi or Rob Beckett??’
The comparisons didn’t go unnoticed by Rob, who reacted after being tagged by several people on their Instagram Stories.

Resharing the posts, the comic wrote: ‘F**k sake,’ before adding: ‘Here we go.’
He then joked: ‘I’m starting to think this is me and I just forgot I did the show.’
‘That is 100% me. That’s more me than I am.’
Reacting to one moment of Lee singing on Starstruck, Rob joked: ‘That’s my having a morning s**t face.’
Rob, we’re going to have to hear you singing to decide whether or not it was really you on stage.
While the judges were impressed by the Bon Jovi singers, in the end, they didn’t do quite enough to reach the next stage of the competition.
The Ed Sheeran team were victorious, before one of them was chosen by the audience to earn a spot in the grand finale.
Starstruck returns next Saturday at 8.30pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
