Euro 2024 is now in full swing with the second round of group games now underway.

England started their campaign with a narrow 1-0 win over Serbia, whilst Scotland have work to do against Switzerland if they are to qualify for the knockout stages of a major competition for the first time in their history.

All 51 matches throughout the competition are on free-to-air television in the United Kingdom with a host of big-name presenters and pundits set to analyse all the talking points.

Here’s a look at the BBC and ITV presenters, pundits and commentators who will front the Euro 2024 TV coverage in the UK.

    BBC

    Gary Lineker

Lineker will once again be the main presenter for the BBC, having first hosted matches for them at the 1998 World Cup in France.

Despite winning the Golden Boot at the 1986 World Cup in Mexico, Lineker failed to score a goal in a European Championship.

    Rio Ferdinand

The former Manchester United and England defender has been working with the BBC at major tournaments since the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

Ferdinand also works as a pundit on TNT Sport’s Premier League and Champions League coverage.

Scott became the first female pundit to feature for the BBC at a World Cup and in 2021 was named as the new host of Football Focus.

The ex-Arsenal star made 140 appearances for England and was part of the team which won the bronze medal at the 2015 World Cup in Canada.

Despite stepping back into management as manager of Plymouth, Rooney will spend the first part of his summer working for the BBC at the Euros.

The former England captain scored six goals in ten matches at the European Championships finals, including four at Euro 2004 as an 18-year-old.

    ITV

    Laura Woods

Meanwhile, Woods will spearhead ITV’s coverage as the main presenter.

Woods also presented coverage of last year’s Women’s World Cup and will be back in action in Germany after a freak eye injury that forced her to miss Tyson Fury’s megafight with Oleksandr Usyk.

Arsenal’s second-highest goalscorer of all time will be one of the main pundits offering his views to fans watching back home in the UK.

Wright has featured heavily on ITV’s coverage of the England men’s and women’s teams having also worked for the BBC during previous major tournaments.

Neville will be temporarily swapping his role on Sky Sports to support ITV’s coverage of the tournament.

The former England full-back earned 85 internal caps and appeared at three European Championships.

The former Manchester United midfielder will be heading to Germany as one of the mainstays in ITV’s coverage.

The ex-Ireland international was capped 67 times for his country, scoring on nine occasions.

They will be joined in the studio by former Scotland legend Graeme Souness as well as Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou.
