Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag would prefer to keep Raphael Varane and Casemiro until the end of the season but will leave a decision over their futures to the players themselves.
Casemiro has missed the last two months of action with a hamstring strain, while Raphael Varane has started the last two matches after seven weeks outside the starting XI.
John Murtough, the club’s director of football, was in Saudi Arabia earlier this month to drum up interest in players like Jadon Sancho.
Casemiro and Varane are two of United’s biggest players given their trophy-laden careers, and they are two of the club’s best-paid players.
There had been reports that Ten Hag had fallen out with Varane, while Casemiro has appeared a shadow of his former self this term.
But ESPN say Ten Hag wants to keep the pair, at least until the end of the season.

However, if the duo hand in transfer requests the Dutchman will reluctantly let them go and push for replacements in the January transfer window.
United are hamstrung by the need to comply to Financial Fair Play and getting the likes of Casemiro and Varane off the books would give them more headroom.
However, the club have indicated that unless there’s outgoings they will be not be busy in the January transfer window.
