Britney Spears shoots new film and vows to ‘throw it in her family’s faces’

The Daily Mirror says Britney Spears fans questioned whether the star’s new Instagram post meant she would be appearing on The Weeknd’s drama series about a self-help guru and leader of a cult who develops a relationship with an up-and-coming pop idol.

Britney Spears has announced that she has finished shooting a new movie after she successfully appealed to end her conservatorship.

The pop sensation, 39, took to Instagram to tell her 36.8 million followers the exciting news and joked that she’ll be drinking with a cat if she goes quiet “from time to time”.

She wrote alongside the image of the feline propped up with a glass of wine: ” I just shot a movie titled “THE IDOL“ …”
