Barbra Streisand buy Disney stock for Floyd’s daughter

American singer Barbra Streisand has invested in Disney stock for George Floyd’s six-year-old daughter.

Gianna Floyd posted on Instagram the news of her new shares and thanking the singer.

“Thank you Barbra Streisand for my package, I am now a Disney Stockholder thanks to you,” she wrote.

Shares in Disney are currently valued at around $115. It is not clear how many shares Streisand purchased for Gianna, whose father died in police custody last month after a white officer knelt on his neck for almost nine minutes.

His death has sparked international protests, with demonstrators calling for police reform and an end to racial inequality.

Kanye West has provided financial support to Mr Floyd’s daughter, launching a college fund for the future.

Texas Southern University has also offered her a full scholarship if she chooses to attend the school in the future.
