Wendy Posner (Susan Cookson) and Bob Hope (Tony Audenshaw) are left in distress in Emmerdale next week when they discover that Cathy (Gabrielle Dowling) has stolen the former’s car keys.
The above video clip, taken from New Year’s Day’s offering of the ITV soap, see the couple exit the B&B, with Wendy having noticed that her car is missing, not to mention her keys.
Bob speculates that Cathy could’ve been to blame for the theft, which leaves Wendy incredibly concerned. The duo spot April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan) and Arthur Thomas (Alfie Clarke) and question them on whether or not they know anything about Cathy’s whereabouts.
Struggling to keep shtum, April reveals that Cathy and Heath (Sebastian Dowling) have went to a party in Hotten.
To complicate matters further, Angelica King has also went along for the joyride.

The revelation leaves both Bob and Wendy horrified as they swiftly swoop into action, hoping they can track their children down before it’s too late while April feels guilty for betraying Cathy’s trust.
The question is: will Bob and Wendy be able to locate Cathy and Heath? That remains to be seen but there is danger ahead.
Spoilers for the upcoming episodes confirm that Heath and Angel are flirting in the car and encourage Cathy to speed up.

Cathy does just that and, despite a near-miss with another vehicle, she doesn’t stop, putting her foot down once more.
Is there more danger ahead for the teens?
Or will Bob and Wendy manage to track them down before it’s too late? We’ll just have to wait and see but Emmerdale is kicking off the New Year with a bang.
