Emmerdale is seeing more than its fair share of dramatic events put in motion this week as residents of the village deal with exit plans, big reveals, and more.
The week began with Mary Goskirk (Louise Jameson) receiving her daughter Rhona Goskirk’s blessing to start her new life with her lover Faye (Jane Gurnett) in Ecuador.
However, things began to become more complicated last night when Suzy Merton (Martelle Edinborough) expressed doubts about the move’s legitimacy after researching some of the details to do with the charity, with Mary proving nothing but defensive and ultimately telling Suzy to get out.
Tonight, more are set to be revealed about some of the other dramatic storylines unfolding in one of the nation’s longest-running soaps.
Mackenzie (Lawrence Robb) is visibly upset as he watches new mum Chloe Harris (Jessie Elland) struggle with both Reuben and some shopping and ultimately ends up offering to assist them. With the pair chatting, Chloe initially rebukes him, asking why she would need help from her ‘sperm donor’.

However, Chloe eventually confesses that she struggles most with loneliness at night, and Sarah catches them in an embrace. She chastises them, and Chloe assures her that it won’t happen again, but Sarah is unconvinced.
Mack awkwardly enquires about Reuben while Sarah is away, and Chloe asks him to join them for a walk, leaving him pleased. Unfortunately, Mack’s joy is short-lived, and he is left reeling when Chloe tells him she’s taking Rueben back to Scotland.

Mack is ultimately forced to say a heartbreaking farewell to his son.
In more emotional scenes, Tom King (James Chase) continues to struggle with his unresolved grief over his dad, and there’s an awkward reunion when both Jimmy King (Nick Miles) and Nicola King (Nicola Wheeler) find him at The Hide. Jimmy can’t disguise his upset at the thought of Tom avoiding him.
After it was revealed last week that Tom was the mysterious figure watching Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper), the pair had initially begun growing closer. However, Belle worries about Tom’s reticence in tonight’s episode.
Elsewhere in the village, Caleb Milligan’s (William Ash) vendetta against Kim Tate (Claire King) is taken to a new level, and Nicky is left incredulous when he finds out about Caleb’s latest move.
