Emmerdale spoilers: Caleb left to die in violent scenes with four shifty suspects in the frame

Caleb Milligan (William Ash) is currently unconscious and bleeding out after being pushed from a ravine in Emmerdale.

Now officially the most hated member of the village, Caleb said he was ‘done playing nice’ in Thursday’s (June 15) edition of the ITV soap after desperately trying to make amends with everyone after his plan to destroy Home Farm was revealed.

Caleb happily wound Cain (Jeff Hordley) up about Faith (Sally Dexter) and then headed to the pub for a pint, where he found Leyla (Roxy Shahidi), Will (Dean Andrews), Cain, Moira (Natalie J Robb), Mack (Lawrence Robb) and Chas (Lucy Pargeter) talking about him.

‘His whole life he’s held this grudge that he was put into care and his mum abandoned him and his family abandoned him.

His dad didn’t want anything to do with him,’ he explained, referring to the story of his early life that was revealed in a special flashback episode in December and the more recent revelation that he’s the son of Frank Tate (Norman Bowler) as well as Faith Dingle (Sally Dexter).

‘He is one of those people who will hold a grudge for a long time. He feels like someone’s tried to kill him, essentially, so once he finds out who that is, the gun’s loaded for that person, definitely.’

The scene in the pub was another reminder that Caleb only truly cares about himself. His relationship with Nicky (Lewis Cope) was in tatters after ignoring the fact that his son is gay and pushing him to marry Gabby (Rosie Bentham), and he really wasn’t worried about finding anymore bricks to build bridges with his neighbours.

He called Mack a ‘waste of space’, commented on Leyla’s drug addiction, said that Cain was a ‘disappointment’ and continued to wind Will up about how he thinks he’s Kim’s ‘lapdog’.

Caleb was done. Thrown out by Chas, he left the pub and took a walk through the woods.

Overlooking the lake, Caleb was wondering what his life may look like now, but any attempt at starting over was quickly taken from him when someone arrived and pushed him over the ravine.

With Caleb’s head covered in blood after landing on a rock, it’s not looking good…but who was responsible?

At the end of the episode, we saw the main suspects – Leyla, Mack, Cain and Will – all entering their homes after being out for various reasons, but who is telling the truth?

Assuming that Caleb survives his injuries, William Ash told us that the person who put him in hospital needs to watch their back.
