On Friday (January 12), Liam and Chas spent time together baking cakes. Chas was terrible at it and burnt her first batch but Liam – who raised Leanna on his own after her mum died – surprised us all with his creative skill.
During their afternoon, Liam and Chas realised they were getting on well, but things were made awkward when they shared a kiss and Liam dashed off.
In upcoming episodes, Liam and Chas will find themselves enjoying each others company again and sleep together.

However, afterwards, a concerned Liam will tell Chas that he felt a lump in her breast – which changes everything.
In this new video, Chas pays a visit to Liam at his house. She is angry and under the impression Liam has told Paddy (Dominic Brunt) and Mandy (Lisa Riley) about her health situation, but Liam confirms he just accidentally revealed they slept together – nothing else.
Liam reassures Chas, but can’t help expressing his concern over the way she’s ignoring his calls.
Pretending as though the problem isn’t there, Chas is in denial, but will she open up to anyone else about this?

Actress Lucy Pargeter said: ‘When the producers first discussed this storyline with me I knew I didn’t want us to shy away from any aspect of this diagnosis for Chas. She saw her own mother ultimately die after an incurable breast cancer diagnosis, so for Chas to receive a breast cancer diagnosis herself, makes it all the more poignant.

‘Our audience knows her so well, they have seen her relationships, know her faults, her passions, her insecurities, quirks and fears. So for them to see this story play out will be more meaningful given everything that has happened to both her and her mother.
‘I think this is the beauty of our genre ‘Soap’. However, I am more than aware of the huge responsibility with us telling this story. I hope we can do it justice.
‘It won’t be all doom and gloom, there will be ups and downs just like with anything. But I hope it looks and feels real. And if just a few people get help for breast changes that do not feel or look right, it could do some good too.’
