Gillian played Faith before Sally Dexter (Picture: ITV)
A former Emmerdale star has joined Coronation Street for a new storyline that features the Winter/Brown family.
Gillian Jephcott currently plays a social worker called Caitlin. She made her arrival last week, shortly after Joseph (William Flanagan) ended up hospital.
Caitlin then said that while the investigation is going on, Gemma cannot live at home, and mustn’t see her children unsupervised.
While Gemma respects and follows the rules for a few days, her emotions will be tested after Bernie (Jane Hazlegrove) receives her prison sentence in upcoming episodes.

After a knock at the door, Gemma is taken aback to see Caitlin, who is unimpressed with the situation unfolding.
Even though the actress has only appeared in a few scenes so far, fans of Emmerdale and Coronation Street have already realised where they recognise actress Gillian Jephcott from.
Faith died in 2022 (Picture: ITV)
Gillian is best known for playing Faith Dingle in Emmerdale from 2000-2004.
In 2017, Faith then returned to the village, but was played by Sally Dexter.
Sally then portrayed the role until October 2022, when Faith Dingle died in Cain’s (Jeff Hordley) arms after her cancer returned.
It’s an emotional storyline in the lead up to Christmas.
