Former Emmerdale and Casualty star Chelsea Halfpenny has revealed that she’s given birth to a baby girl.
The actress, who played Amy Wyatt before Natalie Ann Jamieson took over the role, shared the wonderful news of her firstborn on her Instagram after announcing the pregnancy back in April.
Sharing an image of the baby girl’s little feet, Chelsea wrote alongside: ‘The best thing that’s ever happened to us arrived a couple of weeks ago, and she’s absolutely class 🌼✨🌞 The little love of our lives!’.
She also tagged her fiance, James Baxter, who is currently playing Deputy Head, Joe Casey, in BBC One’s Waterloo Road.
Chelsea received many wonderful comments on her post, including some from her former Casualty co-stars.
Amanda Mealing, who played Connie Beauchamp, wrote: ‘Oh my goodness, congratulations babe. You will both be amazing parents. SO much love to you all!!!’, while Rebecca Ryan, who portrayed Iain’s (Mike Stevenson) sister, Gem, said: ‘Congratulations. So happy for you both! It’s the best feeling in the world!’.

Following her exit from Emmerdale, Chelsea – whose auntie is fellow actor Jill Halfpenny – has continued wowing audiences with her work.
She joined the cast of Casualty after leaving the show, where played Alicia Munroe from 2015 until 2019.
Most recently, she’s solidified herself as a West End star.
Musical fans may recognise her from the stage production of 9 to 5: The Musical and, more recently, she joined the UK tour of Waitress.
