Lydia Dingle (Karen Blick) has left the Emmerdale village after finding out Kim Tate (Claire King) was with Craig Reed (Ben Addis) during his final moments.

After Craig died, Sam (James Hooton) assumed that he was responsible due to the injuries Craig sustained during their fight.

This wasn’t true, as we know Kim’s horse Ice killed the rapist after knocking him over.

Following this event, Kim and Cain (Jeff Hordley) agreed to keep the truth a secret.

While this worked for a few weeks, Kim learnt yesterday (December 7) that Lydia was growing increasingly troubled by what she didn’t know about Craig’s death.

At the Dingle household, Kim sat and listened to Lydia as she wondered if Craig was on his own when he died, or if Sam was still being dishonest with her.

Kim then told herself that telling the complete truth was the best thing to do. She explained to Lydia that Craig wound Ice up which resulted in him bolting, and it was that action that killed him.

Struggling to process the massive twist, Lydia believed that Kim deliberately annoyed Ice, knowing if he tried to defend himself, he wouldn’t think about who was in front of him.

In Friday’s (December 8) episode of the ITV soap, Lydia was still reeling from Kim’s news.

Lydia and Sam’s chat was then interrupted by the arrival of Cain. The couple told Cain about Kim’s involvement in Craig’s death, still unaware that Cain was with her as well.

After a visit from Kim, Lydia made her way over to the salon to see Mandy (Lisa Riley).

There, she completely broke down and was supported by her in-law, who told her things would get back to normal – it’ll just take time.

Returning home, Lydia explained to Sam that in order to work things out, she needs to leave the village.
