Emma Raducanu into US Open quarter-finals after brushing aside Shelby Rogers to set up Belinda Bencic clash
The i says Emma Raducanu looked entirely at home as she beat Shelby Rogers 6-2 6-1 in the fourth round of the US Open and reach the quarter-finals of a grand slam for the very first time.
Raducanu, who started 2021 ranked No 367 in the world, produced a breakthrough performance at Wimbledon earlier this summer by reaching the fourth round.
On that occasion though, she was forced to retire after struggling physically and mentally against Ajla Tomljanovic.
