Emily in Paris has captured the hearts of many romcom, Paris, and well – life – lovers over the past three years, and now it could be changing big time.
And no, it wasn’t just lockdown mania, but it’s now stuck for three seasons and is coming back for a fourth.
The last season was left on many a cliffhanger.
Will she and Gabriel finally get together? Will Gabriel get his Michelin star?
Is Alfie still heartbroken?
Will Mindy and the band go to Eurovision? (Most likely they will be if the creator’s words in December are anything to go by…)
Lily Collins announced the twist in a recorded message which was played to the Tudum Festival in Brazil(Picture: Netflix)
Ahh, we don’t know the answer to most of those – yet.
But what we do know is that Emily in Paris isn’t all going to be in Paris next season. Yes, you heard that right.
So, er, Emily in… Rome?
Hold up, we’re not sure how we feel about this, but Lily Collins – the 34-year-old actor behind the iconic Emily Cooper – hinted this bleak (or exciting?) reality at tonight’s Netflix Tudum Festival.
In a recorded video, she said: ‘What I can tell you is that we have more fun, more fashion, and of course more drama for you all.

The character will even be branching out to another European city for the series – yikes! (Picture: STEPHANIE BRANCHU/NETFLIX)
‘Emily is going to have to decide if everything she’s ever wanted is really what she needs.
‘And while Emily’s heart will always remain true to Paris, her life takes some unexpected twists this season.
‘Don’t be surprised to find her on a Roman holiday.’
Eek! What is this!
Elsewhere on the night – which was attended by an incredibly enthusiastic crowd – more hints and sneak previews were dropped about the next seasons of You, Squid Games and the fan favourite, Stranger Things.
Just when we got all outdoorsy and sunny and then Netflix does this to us. Typical.
