Sir Elton John has shared some sweet details of how he spent his 76th birthday, and we’re loving his sentimental present from husband David Furnish.
The Rocket Man hitmaker seemed made up with his most recent birthday, which he spent with his husband David, 60, and their two children Zachary Furnish-John, 13, and Elijah Furnish-John, 10.
In what was a ‘magical day’, the singing legend shared some snaps of the occasion, which was celebrated in true style with huge balloons, a brilliantly comic cake and the sweetest present of 100 oak trees.
Yep, you heard that right, and no, they’re not fully grown but are so far only sprigs from acorns off an ‘old tree’ that’s been a feature of Sir Elton’s driveway ‘for centuries’.
The sentimental present made the day a ‘real celebration’, according to the music legend.
But also stealing the show was a pretty epic cake, which saw Sir Elton transformed into an edible, piano-playing version of himself.

Also portrayed in the sweet scene was cake-David swooning over cake-Elton’s piano wizardry, and their two cake-sons also enjoying the imagined moment.
Alongside the pictures, Sir Elton wrote: ‘I absolutely loved my birthday! A magical day with @davidfurnish and our beautiful sons.
‘From the most spectacular cake – to the gift of 100 oak trees grown from acorns off the old tree that’s been gracing my driveway for centuries, it was a real celebration.
‘Thank-you from the bottom of my heart to all the friends and fans who sent flowers and beautiful messages 🚀❤️🙏🏻⭐️’.
