Ben isn’t sure on Lexi’s idea (Picture: ITV)
As Lexi Pearce (Isabella Brown) tries to adapt to life without her mum in EastEnders, she needs all the support and love from her dad, Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden).
Sadly though, with Ben battling bulimia at the same time as grieving for Lola (Danielle Harold), he is seriously struggling to keep his emotions in check.
Lola passed away at the end of May after being diagnosed with a brain tumour. She died with Lexi and Jay (Jamie Borthwick) by her side and now, Lola’s daughter is being looked after by Jay, Ben and his husband, Callum (Tony Clay).

With Lola’s funeral approaching, Lexi asks Ben if she could speak during the service.
Ben says no, convinced it’ll be too much, which annoys Lexi.
After the argument is diffused by Jay, they agree to talk things over at lunch.
But in Walford East, when Jay disappears to make a phone call, Ben starts to struggle with his bulimia and heads out of the restaurant after realising the toilets are closed, leaving Lexi on her own.
Lexi is found by Billy (Picture: BBC)
When the young girl sees a mother and daughter together, Lexi’s emotions overwhelm her, and she rushes out.
Fortunately, Lexi is found by Billy (Perry Fenwick), who isn’t happy when he learns that Ben left her all alone.
Billy lays down the law and tells Ben that he needs to step up, but is he capable of making changes when he’s already finding things so difficult?
Or will he continue to spiral in the aftermath of Lola’s death?
