Newcomers Priya (Sophie Khan Levy) and Avani (Aaliyah James) were back in Walford in Thursday’s (October 19) EastEnders after being kicked out of their flat.
Priya is Ravi’s (Aaron Thiara) ex-girlfriend which makes Avani his daughter. After Nugget (Juhaim Rasul Choudhury) went missing a few weeks ago, it was revealed that he had been staying with his mum and sister.
Yesterday’s episode of the BBC One soap saw Priya reveal to Ravi that she left the family because of Ranveer, the man Ravi thought was his dad. Ranveer told Priya that he knew people who would bury her if she ever returned, so she took off and never told Ravi about his daughter.
In tonight’s episode, Priya and Avani made their way back to Albert Square due to being made homeless.
In the market, Priya clashed with Stacey (Lacey Turner) and then smashed an onion so the acid would make Avani cry and therefore, increase the chance of the Panesars feeling sorry for them.
While Ravi took Nugget and Avani for some food, Priya was on the phone trying to find somewhere she could stay with her daughter.
She was interrupted by Nish (Navin Chowdhry), who sat down with Priya as she opened up to him.

Nish was clearly impressed by Priya and also praised her for bringing up Avani on her own. They got on, which prompted Priya to say that Ravi should be more like Nish – unaware that he’s also manipulative, controlling and abusive towards Suki (Balvinder Sopal).
Nish and Priya then headed to the pub for a drink. There, Priya argued with Stacey again, but smiled when Nish stepped in and took her side.
Back at the Panesars, just as Priya and Avani left, Nish decided that they could stay at the family home.
The scenes tonight between Nish and Priya suggested they have a connection – but is Nish about to start an affair with his son’s ex?
Hang on, what?!
