Yes, you could appear on EastEnders (Picture: BBC)
Attention all EastEnders fanatics, there is actually a chance to make a cameo on the soap as bosses prepare for an annual event.
For those who remember that recent Christmas episode Lola Pearce (Danielle Harold) revealed in her clip that Jay Brown (Jamie Borthwick) and Honey Mitchell (Emma Barton) will run this year’s marathon on, Sunday, April 21.
And the stars will be in character as they act out scenes for the programme, and yes members of the public will appear in the episode.
Executive producer Chris Clenshaw said that they were ‘thrilled to celebrate our city’ in what is ‘a landmark occasion in the capital’ before going on to promise ‘a never-before-seen glimpse of the momentous day’.
How to appear in the EastEnders special
Both Jamie and Emma will be filmed as they run through the streets of London, meaning that anyone in the crowds of supporters cheering the runners on has the potential to be caught in the background and essentially make their EastEnders debut.
Actor Jamie addressed the importance of the run to his character saying that ‘it’s something to focus on and hopefully to stop him spiralling again.

While Chris emphasised the ‘profound effect’ of Lola’s death on the residents of Walford, explaining that the storyline would ‘continue to follow her loved ones as they attempt to come to terms with her death and honour her legacy’.
Last year’s marathon saw Barbara Windsor’s widower Scott Mitchell taking part in the 26-mile race through the streets of London.
He was joined alongside actress Heather Peace (Eve Unwin), Natalie Cassidy, who plays Sonia Fowler and Lacey Turner, aka Stacey Slater.
This also isn’t the first time EastEnders has combined reality with fiction as devoted fans remember live footage of actor Perry Fenwick (Billy Mitchell) carrying the Olympic Torch as an official torch bearer aired in 2012.
