Worlds collided on This Morning, when Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson reunited with his ‘ex-wife’ Alison Hammond.
Alison and Dwayne have a long history, with the Hollywood actor ‘proposing’ during an interview in 2017 and the pair actually ‘getting married’ during on This Morning months later (it wasn’t technically legally binding in the UK, but it was still a moment for the history books).
Five years later, Alison and Dwayne reunited over video call on the ITV show, with the Black Adam actor immediately saying: ‘Good morning to my former, ex-wife Alison, so good to see you.’
Alison was, naturally, over the moon, insisting she ‘wasn’t going to mention’ their history.
‘I’m just glad we can talk now!’ she joked.
To make things even sweeter, at the end of the interview, Dwayne took a moment to celebrate all of Alison’s recent successes, including her National Television Award nomination for best presenter.

‘Alison, I want to tell you – we’ve known each other for a long time but I’m so happy for you. You’re doing so great, you’ve been nominated for all these National TV Awards, you’ve been incredible, so congratulations!’ he told her, also blowing a kiss.
‘We’ve got to get married again!’ he added.
‘And I’m proud of you as well!’ Alison said told him.
Fans were thrilled to see Alison nominated for her NTA and, while the win ultimately went to Ant and Dec, who continued their decades-long winning streak, the message from Dwayne might well have made up for it for her.
Alison also recently shared that she suffered a slightly awkward moment at the ceremony, believing she’d heard her name called.
‘You sat next to me all of last night and you just made me laugh throughout the whole show,’ Alison told Dermot, continuing: ‘But the funniest moment was obviously, I was up for an award, and I heard Ant & Dec being called, but I heard Alison!’
‘This is so embarrassing,’ Dermot quipped.
Alison added: ‘In my head, I heard Alison, so then I reached across to Dermot and I said, “How did they say Alison?”
‘And Dermot went, “No, they didn’t say Alison.”
‘It was so shameful, so embarrassing,’ she said, before bursting into laughter.
You’re still a winner in our eyes, Alison!
This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV.
