A dragon caught fire in the middle of a show at Disneyland, with no injuries reported from the incident.
The blaze broke out at the theme park in Anaheim, Los Angeles, while a nighttime show called Fantasmic! was taking place.
The dragon, which was from the movie Maleficent, caught alight, with videos captured by onlookers promptly shared on social media.
In one of the clips, the dragon can be seen engulfed by flames and smoke as music continues to play in the background.
The scene was undoubtedly reminiscent of the Disney fairytale, as fans of the original 1959 animated movie Sleeping Beauty will remember the scene when the dragon blew fire in the direction of Prince Phillip on his way to rescue Princess Aurora.
Disneyland theme park representatives confirmed that during the final showing of Fantasmic! at the park on Saturday evening, ‘the dragon caught fire’.

‘Anaheim Fire & Rescue quickly responded and the fire was extinguished,’ they continued to Deadline.
‘All cast members were safely evacuated from Tom Sawyer Island.
‘Due to smoke and wind, attractions near the island were safely evacuated of any guests, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation at this time.’
On the Disneyland website, Fantasmic! is described as a spectacle featuring ‘daring heroes and epic villains’, who ‘do battle on a grand scale in an incredible nighttime show starring Mickey Mouse’.

‘Featuring a fantastical array of live performers, beloved Disney characters, enhanced special effects, state-of-the-art projections and superb pyrotechnics, this show will wow the entire family,’ the synopsis reads.
In one video, a voice could be heard saying on a loudspeaker: ‘[We] hope you enjoy the rest of your evening here at Disneyland. Once again, this performance cannot continue due to unforeseen circumstances. Thank you.’
Patrons at Disneyland gasped in the background as they continued to watch the dragon burning.

One person who was present at the scene and had previously watched Fantasmic! more than 100 times told ABC News: ‘The dragon’s head started to glow, and I see fire and kind of smoke coming out. I was like, “Oh … they added some new stuff because that didn’t didn’t happen like that before.”’
They continued: ‘We saw some small explosions coming out of the head, and then, all of a sudden, the whole dragon was just engulfed, and then, all of a sudden, the worker started coming around escorting everybody out for safety.’
