Dozens of people reportedly went into cardiac arrest after a stampede of party-goers rushed to celebrate Halloween in Seoul, South Korea.

Firefighters were called to the party hotspot Hamilton Hotel where various Halloween celebrations were being held, news agency Yonhap reported today.
National Fire Agency official Choi Cheon-sik said 100 people were reportedly injured during the crowd surge in the leisure district of Itaewon.
Alarming video footage posted to social media showed dozens of people lying in the middle of the street as emergency service workers performed CPR.

One witness tweeted that there are more than ‘400 rescue workers’ at the scene outside a tobacco shop and clothing store.
Prime Minister Han said of the Itaewon accident: ‘The best way to quickly identify the situation and minimize casualties.’
